On August 5-12, a group of 6 went on mission to Choluteca, Honduras to provide love and hope through basic mental and spiritual care for the adults and children served by Ministerio El Camino y La Verdad. We served alongside 3 medical doctors as well as 10 others from our sister churches in Choluteca. Many meals were provided by the ladies of the church.
This trip met with many uncertainties in the planning stages, but God was in it all and the mission was accomplished. The medical team saw 357 adults and children and administered 805 prescriptions as well as several follow-ups with local doctors. The Vision team saw 173 adults and delivered 157 pairs of reading glasses. Approximately 250 children attended VBS over the course of 4 days.
There are too many stories to tell here, but please see them on our Facebook page here. and watch the short mission trip video below.
Thank you so much for your generosity of prayers, encouragement, and financial support. With the average age of our team being 69, we were able to accomplish much. We need youth to consider future trips as the ministry there is made up of many youth leaders and they asked that you come.
We will be planning another trip February 3-10, 2024. More info will be available in October.
Thank you again for your support and prayers.
